MacVector 18.2 For Existing Customers
MacVector 18.2 is now available for download by qualified customers. To run MacVector 18.2, you must have a maintenance contract with MacVector Inc that was active on August 1st 2021, or have purchased an upgrade since that time. To see if you will be able to run MacVector 18.2 using your existing MacVector license, start MacVector, then choose "About MacVector" from the "MacVector" menu. You will see your license information displayed in the splash screen;
If your "Maintenance Ends:" date reads August 1, 2021 or later, you will be able to run MacVector 18.2. If not, you can register to download the trial version, then contact your local MacVector account manager (firstname.lastname@example.org) to learn about upgrade options.
All customers who are eligible to run MacVector 18.2 should use this link to download the MacVector 18.2 installer.
MacVector 18.2 Released!
MacVector 18.2 contains enhancements to the Align to Reference interface and algorithm, improvements to the display of context-sensitive menus and the ability to create Primer Database files from Excel data. MacVector 18.1 Released!
MacVector 18.1 is a Universal Binary, capable of running natively on both Intel and Apple Silicon Macintosh computers. Otherwise, it is essentially identical to MacVector 18.0. You can read about the new functionality and check your eligibility. The full installer can be found on this page.
MacVector 18.0 Released!
There is a new CRISPR PAM site searching function, support for new file formats (SnapGene and Sequencher) trim-by-quality for Sanger reads and more enhancements to the MSA domain outlining functionality added in MacVector 17.5. macOS 10.16 Big Sur
MacVector 17 and later are not only fully supported and compatible with Apple's latest OS release, macOS Big Sur, but also support Dark Mode and use the latest Apple signing and notarization procedures so you can be sure you are using an authentic copy. Earlier versions of MacVector can't do this. So why not upgrade?
